Her expertise extends to boosting self-esteem and providing comprehensive academic assistance.

Candice is committed to delivering practical tools that students can use to integrate into their daily classroom experience. Her dedication to the success and well-being of her students makes her a trusted guide on the journey to educational achievement.

Candice’s focus is on collaborating and coordinating with parents, teachers, and students to offer ongoing support, advice, and assistance in implementing functional skills that are pivotal for the day-to-day success of students, particularly those struggling with executive functioning.

Scope of Services:

  1. Executive Functioning Support: Provide practical assistance to students who face challenges with executive functioning. By working closely with both parents and teachers, Candice aims to bridge the gap for students who need functional skills without the need for extensive intervention.
  2. Study Skills Enhancement: The development of essential study skills. This includes assistance in time management, organisation of study timetables, and the provision of tools that empower students on how to study effectively. She would also conduct study skills workshops to equip students with the necessary skills for independent study.
  3. Transition Support (Prep to Year 8): Recognising the critical transition phases, Candice offers targeted support for students moving from primary to secondary school. This involves not only academic assistance but also the development of coping mechanisms and organisational strategies to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
  4. Home Program Development: Tailoring her approach to the unique needs of each student, Candice proposes the creation of personalised home programs for parents to work on and support struggling students with academic needs.
  5. Evidence-based Reading Intervention: Candice is a Sounds Write practitioner. Sounds Write is a highly structured, systematic synthetic phonics program. The evidence-based linguistic program is recommended by AUSPELD and is considered best practice for teaching students with SLD in reading. The program teaches students the key skills required to be effective readers and spellers.
