Depression







Depression is one of the most common mental health problems in Australia across youth, young adults, and older people. It typically affects a person’s thoughts, behaviours, feelings, and physical well-being. Feelings are intense and last for long periods of time often without a specific reason. Depressed mood can affect productivity, relationships, functionality, and quality of life profoundly.

There are several different factors that can impact the cause and severity of depression, these include:

  • Personality

Although feeling down at times is a normal, if you are feeling down or hopeless on a regular basis you may be experiencing depression that can get worse without proper treatment.
