Fiona is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Parent Coach, Educator and Facilitator. She holds a BA, BSW and AMHSW accreditation through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with further training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and EMDR Level 1.

She is experienced in delivering the Tuning in to Kids and Tuning in to Teens parenting programs. Drawing on extensive experience in clinical counselling, group work, mental health and disability, Fiona supports clients to build self-determination, empowerment and wellbeing. Her person-centred approach helps people explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviours, develop new skills and reconnect with themselves, their families, friends and communities through evidence-based strategies grounded in respect, empathy and curiosity.

Fiona works with children, adults and families experiencing concerns such as:

· Anxiety disorders

· Adjustment challenges

· Depression and mood disorders

· Trauma

· Grief and loss

· Overall mental health and well-being

Alongside Tuning in to Kids and Tuning in to Teens, Fiona delivers programs for primary school-aged children that build emotional and social literacy, helping them connect what they feel with how they express those emotions through behaviour.

 

Fiona helps clients strengthen emotional and social literacy and reconnect with themselves, their families, friends and communities. Her person-centred practice is grounded in respect and empathy and draws on therapeutic modalities including:
